Printer and system crashes after installing KB4560960 update from Microsoft

After the update (KB4560960) has been automatically installed by Windows the PC gives some unexpected results when using it. Usually programs crash and close – particularly when printing.

 To fix the issue the update (KB4560960) needs to be uninstalled. These are the steps for Windows 10:

·         Click Start and then the settings cog

·         Type “Update” in the search bar and select “View Update History” from the results.

·         Select “Uninstall updates”

·         Find KB4560960 in the list – use the search bar at the top if you cannot see it.

·         With KB4560960 selected click “Uninstall”

·         Let the process complete and restart the PC

The update is now removed. However that is not to say Windows wont install it again. We suggest using the “Show or hide updates” tool from Microsoft (program download from microsoft here) to hide the update and prevent Windows installing it again
